Emergencies are determined to be events that cannot be handled at the community response level. | 2021 Flood Response Task Force: Call-Out | Opportunity exists to provide response and recovery support for impacted communities. This can be achieved with the assembly and deployment of the Flood Response Task Force. This Task Force can be deployed to communities who have been directly and indirectly impacted by the recent flood events. Molded from the Community Outreach Strike Team Initiative that was developed and implemented during the 2021 wildfire season, these resources can also be activated to provide support to other events such as flood response and recovery. These Task Force teams are made up of a collection of Indigenous and Non-Indigenous personnel who all have an interest in working with our Nations.
