Halifax (Kjipuktuk) is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw people.

In accordance with the Charter of the Assembly of First Nations and the by-laws of the National Indian Brotherhood, an Annual General Assembly is to be held in June or July of every year.
